Answers to what we get asked most, for restaurants and for customers. Legal matters are summarized here for guidance; the binding text is in the legal documents.
A flat monthly fee, not a percentage: €59/mo for a single restaurant and €49/location/mo from two locations (VAT excluded). Includes a 14-day trial, no setup fee and no lock-in. Pay annually for 16% less.
Yes. We don’t take a percentage of your sales. Payments go straight to your own Stripe account, so 100% of every gift card is yours. Our revenue is the flat monthly fee, nothing else. (Stripe charges its own payment-processing fees, separate from us.)
Sign up (a few minutes) and connect your Stripe account. If you don’t have one, Stripe helps you create it on the spot. From there you can publish your store and start selling.
Yes. Your store carries your logo, colors and design, and can run under your own domain (white-label). The same applies to the emails and the gift-card PDF.
Both. You can embed the widget on your website (native integration, the customer stays on your site) and/or use the hosted store we provide (a link to share on social, QR or WhatsApp). The widget relies on that store for checkout and redemption.
Yes. You can manage physical cards alongside digital ones: batch import, activation and stock control, tied to the same balance.
The platform and customer delivery are multi-language (Spanish and English, extensible to more). The email and PDF go out in each card’s delivery language.
You collect it directly into your Stripe account, at the moment of sale. It’s upfront revenue: the customer pays today and redeems later.
The card amount is balance to be redeemed; applicable taxes are applied at redemption according to the product or service. You have exportable reports for your accounting. This is not tax advice: check with your advisor for your specific case. More detail in the Terms.
No lock-in. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard; the service stays active until the end of the period already paid.
We process data in line with the GDPR. In the relationship with your customers, the restaurant is the controller and we act as processor. See the detail and sub-processors in the Privacy Policy.
From the restaurant’s store (or the widget on its website): choose the amount, add the recipient’s details and a message, and pay securely by card through Stripe.
Yes. All payments are processed through Stripe, one of the world’s most secure payment gateways (PCI-DSS compliant). We never see or store your card details: Stripe handles them directly in its secure environment.
By email, usually instantly after payment, with a PDF and a code + QR. If it doesn’t arrive, check your spam folder and write to support@txiptxip.com. Make sure the recipient’s email is correct.
Show the code or QR at the restaurant when you pay. The card can be redeemed one or more times until the balance is used up.
Yes. On the store’s “Check balance” page, enter the card code to see the available balance and validity.
Validity is shown at purchase and on the card itself. It is managed by the issuing restaurant (including any extensions). Detail in the Terms.
Yes, if the restaurant allows partial redemption: you spend part and the remaining balance stays on the card for next time.
Yes: the card is meant for gifting. If the restaurant allows it, you can also transfer it to another person from the card itself.
As a consumer you have 14 calendar days to withdraw without justification (Spanish RDL 1/2007). Notify support@txiptxip.com within the deadline and we refund within 14 days. Exception: it does not apply if the card has already been fully or partially redeemed. See Terms.
The code is like cash: keep it safe and don’t share it. We are not responsible for lost, stolen or shared cards. More info in the Terms.
Write to support@txiptxip.com. If it’s a platform technical fault, we resolve it (including a refund where appropriate). Claims about the restaurant’s product or service go to the restaurant. See Terms.
No, unless the law or the issuing restaurant provides otherwise. The card is redeemed for the restaurant’s products or services.
